Anthony Joshua Says Wilder Fight Happens On His Terms, Could Be 2018 Or Could Be 2020!
Anthony Joshua is currently in Sheffield training at the EIS as he gets ready to face his IBF mandatory challenger in Pulev later this month. Many professionals and boxing fans feel Joshua will beat Pulev in Cardiff and before this fight was even announced people have been calling for a Joshua Wilder showdown with the winner taking all the belts.
Wilder was due to fight Luis Ortiz in November until the fight was called off after he failed a drug test under the WBC clean boxing programme. As Ortiz was mandatory for the WBA title, the winner of that fight was expected to face Joshua in 2018 possibly at Wembley Stadium in London.
However, Joshua recently did an interview with Sky Sports Johnny Nelson answer fans questions and he was asked about the Wilder fight. The response by Joshua has caused mixed views as some people feel he is scared to fight Wilder and others feel he is right to say what he did.
Joshua never said the fight wouldn’t happen but it’s the when that is causing some people to ask more questions after many thought the stars were lined for this showdown in 2018. AJ highlighted the fact that Wilder turned pro in 2009 which is a year after he even picked up the gloves to start boxing at a time Joshua had no idea he would have gone to the Olympics never mind be a world champion so soon in his career.
AJ is keen to make the right decisions at the right time to ensure he has a long lasting career in boxing as he feels he still has much to learn which is also the motivation that is keeping him going in the gym. In the past, Joshua has stated that he doesn’t let people pressure him because no matter who he fights people will always pull out another name that he needs to face and beat to be great. As a result, Joshua is happy to move at his own pace so as far as he is concerned if the fight happens in 2018 then it does and he will be ready but if not then he will be ready to face whoever is put in front of him.

After watching this video, Deontay Wilder had a response for Joshua saying he is either scared or is doping as well like Ortiz was. Wilder has been calling out AJ for a while now especially since Joshua beat Klitschko at Wembley earlier this year and even more so after Klitschko made the decision to retire from the sport of boxing.
Wilder took to Instagram to air his views on what AJ said in his interview and stated that he is the most feared fighter in the heavyweight division. Wilder keeps having issues with fighters either pulling out of fights or doping causing fights to get called off which just adds to his argument that fighters do not want to face him.
Dear Boxing Fans, Well there you have it now @anthony_joshua is officially soul searching while he scrolls thru the misty park, Basically what I’m saying is that he’s scared as well, but nooo Mr. @eddiehearn goes on record and states that Joshua KO’s me within 3rds. You see in the HURT BUSINESS ppl on the outside looking in are the ones that DONT HAVE TO FEEL THE PAIN IN THE RING, but are the first to build unnecessary courage then say dumb shit, WHY! Because they don’t have to be the poor soul that travels through the jungle an face the . LIKE I SAID…”I’m the most FEARED Heavyweight in the Division”. Once I became Champ me and my team have tried for years to get the best out there ppl do your research. I’ve called out all of the so called majority fans best of the division have to offer but what really happens when I do that? Well if you don’t know I’ll tell you::::::::::———->>>>>>>>>> They either go another route and Run as if they was in a 1984 Freddy Krueger a Nightmare on Elm Street horror film or they becomes a member of Pinky & the Brain, but instead of trying to unify and take over the world they, instead shot stuff in their asses or take it hard thru the throat all because of an Alabaman Native that goes by the name of DeontayWilder ::::::::::———->>>>>>>> Well there goes a Great fight not once but twice out of three Great fights all stolen from the overly anxious and highly excited Boxing Fans. Why I’m I always the one blamed for Grown ass men making Bad decisions? I don’t make them nor tell the to take Banned Substance! They do that dumb shit on their own, so if your mad I’m not the one to blame, in fact I’ve done nothing but the right things and always deliver an exciting fight (38-0-0) 37 by KO’s but it’s always BombZquad fault lol why? Be real is it because I’m black and this so called great country of Amerikkka rather bash the Blacks while talk highly and praise everyone else that’s not of dark color? :::::::::———->>>>>>>>>> These are serious questions I’m eager to know and I’m not looking for anyone’s sympathy towards my career issues because I know for facts GOD got me covered Trust Me. Love you all. -Champ
Who do you think AJ should fight next? should it be Wilder or should 1 of them take on Parker first to build up for a super fight involving all the belts on offer in the division?
